Biography
Camille Capers is an actress and singer based in New York City. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Howard University, as well as a Certificate of Acting from the British-American Drama Academy's Midsummer in Oxford Program. While in school, she performed in two regional productions, and represented Howard University in the NATS National Music Theatre Competition in New York City, placing in the top 25 out of 200 contestants. She is also a trained actress, having studied Acting for the Camera, Shakespeare, Contemporary, Stanislavski, and Meisner in depth. Regional theatre credits include: "The Color Purple" (Celie), "BKLYN: The Musical" (Paradice), “Disney's Beauty and the Beast" (Belle u/s, Silly Girl), "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (Esmeralda u/s), "Little Shop of Horrors (Chiffon)" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (Titania). She also wrote, directed, and performed in a solo cabaret show titled "Introducing: Me" at The Green Room 42, in addition to singing at 54 Below and other cabaret venues around the city.
